Requirements

  • CPA designation
  • Strong knowledge of CPA Certification requirements, including practical experience requirements, education program and examination process
  • 4+ years of relevant public accounting experience
  • 2 to 4 years of management experience
  • Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Professional services industry experience is considered an asset
  • Experience designing and delivering training and educational programs for adult learners (or CPA students) is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute CPA Program governance, including compliance monitoring, audit readiness and coordination with CPA provincial bodies and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with CPA provincial bodies and stay current on existing and forthcoming changes to CPA Certification requirements
  • Coordinate and execute CPA Certification program activities, including communications, key milestones and annual program timelines
  • Monitor and track CPA student progress, maintain program records and prepare reports to support program oversight and decision-making
  • Oversee practical experience processes including reporting deadlines, mentor alignment, employment changes and data integrity
  • Develop and maintain CPA Certification program materials, internal guidance and resources in collaboration with Learning & Development
  • Deliver learning and information sessions to support team members in successfully completing CPA Certification requirements, including modules and examinations
  • Establish and share best practices to support compliance with CPA requirements and alignment with MNP standards
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the CPA student experience and recommend improvements to program processes, resources and overall effectiveness
  • Lead research projects, conduct in-depth analysis and contribute to continuous improvement, innovation and development of new approaches
  • Partner with Human Capital on CPA Program systems, trackers and dashboards, including process documentation and continuous improvement of tools and workflows
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and stakeholders to support and promote MNP’s CPA pathway and student value proposition
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
