About The Position

We invite an experienced and strategic Manager, Corporate FP&A to join our team. This pivotal role is an exciting opportunity to showcase your talents and make a tangible impact on the financial management and strategic direction of our Corporate FP&A team. You will be instrumental in shaping financial strategies, optimizing operations, and driving fiscal responsibility within one of the most dynamic sectors of the entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in financial management and strategy, exceptional proficiency in financial modeling and financial planning, and a thorough understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow intricacies specific to entertainment industry production and distribution. The candidate will constantly strive to improve process, roll up their sleeves to tackle any task, and build partnerships with other business partners, both within finance and outside of finance. The ability to self-motivate, communicate complex information effectively, and rapidly adapt is crucial in our dynamic and fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, reporting directly to the SVP of FP&A, to drive financial performance and support key decision-making initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in financial management within the film or television industry, with a strong focus on P&L and Cashflow
  • Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and advanced Excel skills, along with experience in managing ultimate models, revenue recognition, and film cost amortization
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline and improve processes, manage production finance teams, and oversee production funding processes
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, including collaborating with various departments and partner production companies, and assisting in the preparation of financial plans and forecasts
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strategic, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach

Responsibilities

  • Manage all budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis of all elements of corporate overhead and SG&A, capitalized expenditures, depreciation and amortization schedules, interest and taxes, and all other Below-EBITDA P&L items
  • Lead the consolidation of the monthly P&L across 7 corporate divisions and 5 strategic investment companies, partnering closely with all FP&A divisions to manage delivery deadlines to senior leadership and parent company
  • Manage all back-office systems work in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), creating new forecasts, managing version control, troubleshooting systems issues, and supporting all business needs relating to SAC
  • Partner closely with the Accounting department to ensure timely and accurate recording of all corporate accruals, depreciations and amortizations, and other accounting items specific to a P&L
  • Manage all SG&A and Below-EBITDA cashflow, working closely with such departments as Business and Legal Affairs, People & Culture, IT, and Accounting departments on timing of spend and accruals, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of resources
  • Collaborate closely with the SVP of FP&A to prepare monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts for the Corporate division, ensuring forecasts are accurate, delivered on-time, and aligned with company expectations
  • Partner closely with various business leaders, like the heads of Business and Legal Affairs, People & Culture, IT, and Accounting, to communicate budgets and financial expectations, ensuring they are continually measuring their financial performance
  • Own and manage the Travel & Entertainment policy and by-department budgets, tracking costs and holding departments accountable to budgets
  • Evaluate and implement systems solutions that support the uniqueness of corporate FP&A and always be looking to streamline and improve processes and control activities for the Corporate division
  • Help shape the company’s business plan to produce cash flow positive results and establish short and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Assist in production audits, corporate audits, and SOX compliance for the division
