About the Role: Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting (SAP S/4HANA & Transformation), this role is responsible for executing and managing core corporate accounting activities, supporting the global close process, and playing a key role in the SAP S/4HANA transformation along with supporting accounting within all Arclin ERPs. This position will act as a hands-on leader and subject matter expert, supporting general ledger activities, driving process standardization across multiple ERPs (SAP, JDE, IFS, BC), and ensuring data integrity and SOX-compliant processes in a complex, evolving environment. Additionally, this role will lead all aspects of purchase accounting and financial integration related to the Aramids acquisition, serving as the primary owner of acquisition accounting, valuation coordination, and ongoing reporting alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in multi-entity, multi-ERP environments
  • Experience with purchase accounting / business combinations (ASC 805) strongly preferred
  • Prior involvement with ERP implementations (SAP preferred)
  • Experience with global close processes and corporate accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong knowledge of Financial close and consolidation processes
  • Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Systems experience: SAP (S/4HANA exposure preferred)
  • Systems experience: Legacy ERPs (JDE, IFS, BC a plus)
  • Systems experience: BlackLine or similar reconciliation tools
  • Systems experience: Advanced Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-change, transformation environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complexity into clear actions

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director in the SAP S/4HANA implementation, specifically across GL and close-related processes
  • Participate in design workshops, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), and data validation tied to financial processes
  • Help translate global design standards into day-to-day accounting execution models
  • Identify and escalate process gaps, data inconsistencies, and integration issues across ERP systems
  • Manage and execute key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Review and/or prepare: Journal entries and accruals, Account reconciliations, Flux and variance analysis
  • Ensure timely and accurate consolidation inputs across multiple ERP systems
  • Partner with shared services (AP/AR), business units, and FP&A to resolve close issues
  • Drive consistency and discipline in close timelines and deliverables
  • Support accounting operations across SAP, JDE, IFS, and Business Central, ensuring alignment with corporate policies
  • Assist in managing inter-system reconciliations and data integrity issues during the transition to SAP
  • Standardize processes and reduce manual adjustments across legacy systems
  • Lead and manage all aspects of purchase accounting for the Aramids acquisition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 805), including: Coordination of purchase price allocation (PPA) with third-party valuation specialists, Recording and validation of opening balance sheet entries, Identification and documentation of goodwill, intangible assets, and fair value adjustments
  • Ensure seamless integration of Aramids financial results into corporate close and consolidation processes
  • Establish and maintain audit-ready documentation supporting key accounting judgments and valuation assumptions
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, external advisors, and auditors to validate conclusions and ensure alignment
  • Support ongoing accounting for acquisition-related items, including: Amortization of intangible assets, Inventory and fixed asset step-up tracking, Deferred revenue and other fair value adjustments
  • Drive alignment of Aramids accounting policies, processes, and controls with Arclin’s SOX-compliant environment
  • Execute and maintain SOX-compliant processes and controls across accounting activities
  • Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation, including journal entries, reconciliations, and control evidence
  • Support internal and external audits by: Responding to audit requests, Ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation
  • Identify control gaps and recommend improvements aligned with public company standards
  • Identify and implement opportunities to: Automate journal entries and reconciliations, Reduce manual processes, Improve close cycle time
  • Leverage tools such as BlackLine, Power BI, and other automation solutions
  • Partner with the Director to scale best practices across the organization
  • Supervise and develop senior and staff accountants
  • Provide coaching, training, and clear performance expectations aligned with transformation goals
  • Partner closely with: Shared Services (AP/AR, Payroll), FP&A, IT / SAP project teams
  • Act as a go-to resource for accounting guidance and issue resolution
