About The Position

As part of the Ryder team, the Manager, Competitive Intelligence performs research and analysis, including project management (often with broadly defined objectives), of corporate strategy initiatives. He/She will present this information and analysis to all levels of company management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required in Business, accounting, finance, engineering, economics
Two (2) years or more management consulting, leading corporate strategy, strategic planning and/or strategic initiatives required
Demonstrates analytical skills
Strong executive presence and influence/communication skills
Ability to lead/manage others
Proven leadership skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred MBA, accounting, finance, economics
Seven (7) years or more of professional experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide robust research and analysis to support Sales & Marketing initiatives and Key Intelligence Topics and Industry Disrupting Trends
Communicate with stakeholders across the company to ensure that distributed intelligence provided is actionable and timely
Utilize intelligence garnered from primary and secondary research activities to develop and maintain detailed strategic and operational profiles on key competitors, suppliers, partners and designated key intelligence topics
Support intelligence distribution activities, including presentations to Ryder’s Leadership Team, webinars, and Board-level documentation
Continuously identify and maintain a database of relevant source of primary and secondary research, including industry analysts, market research firms, conferences, and others
Performs other duties as assigned.
