Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related function, preferably within a multinational company, agency environment, or infrastructure/energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of media landscape and stakeholder environment in South Korea, with experience in media relations, media monitoring, and handling press inquiries.
  • Proven ability to draft and edit high-quality communication materials in both English and Korean, including press releases, key messages, Q&As, briefing notes, and presentations.
  • Experience supporting corporate communications initiatives, including internal communications, external communications, and digital/social media content.
  • Familiarity with CSR, sustainability, or ESG-related communications is preferred, particularly in the context of community engagement and stakeholder relations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate with regional/global teams.
  • Basic understanding of renewable energy, infrastructure projects, or regulated industries is an advantage.
  • Experience in issues management or crisis communications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Liaison and Coordination Serve as the primary communications liaison for Korea, working closely with internal stakeholders including the Korea leadership team, project teams, and functional departments to ensure communications activities align with business priorities and market developments.
  • Collaboration with Global Communications Work closely with the Global Communications team to ensure Korea communications initiatives align with Vena’s broader corporate narrative, reputation pillars, and regional messaging. This includes coordinating on global announcements, campaigns, leadership visibility opportunities, and integrated communications initiatives.
  • Communications Support Provide communications support, including crafting messages, positioning, and stakeholder engagement strategies. Support major announcements, project milestones, media engagement, and issues management when required. Support the development and execution of integrated corporate communications and PR initiatives in Korea in alignment with company objectives, project priorities, and regional communications strategies.
  • Internal Communications Facilitate effective internal communications between the Korea office and the broader organization, ensuring key updates, achievements, and developments are communicated through appropriate internal channels. Assist in developing and delivering internal communications initiatives to enhance employee engagement, strengthen organizational alignment, and promote awareness of company priorities, culture, milestones, and campaigns. Maintain and update internal communication channels and platforms, including the corporate intranet and other employee communication tools, ensuring content is timely, relevant, accurate, and aligned with brand standards.
  • External Communications and Media Relations Support the planning and execution of media engagement, press releases, thought leadership opportunities, and social media amplification related to Korea’s activities, ensuring consistency with Vena’s brand and communications standards. Draft, edit, and localize communications materials, including media relations outputs such as press releases, media statements, key messages, Q&As, briefing notes, talking points, speeches, presentations, fact sheets, and other corporate materials for internal and external audiences. Support day-to-day media relations activities, including media monitoring, identifying coverage opportunities, pitching stories, preparing media lists, coordinating interviews, and responding to media inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Stakeholder Support Support communications related to green energy solution projects in South Korea by preparing communication materials, background notes, stakeholder-facing content, project narratives, and explanatory materials that help build understanding of the company’s business and project value proposition. Assist in stakeholder engagement communications by developing materials that support outreach to local communities, government stakeholders, industry partners, and other relevant external parties, particularly in the context of project development and corporate reputation.
  • CSR and Sustainability Support the planning and execution of CSR and sustainability-related initiatives in Korea, including community engagement programs, partnership activities, employee volunteering initiatives, educational programs, and other local impact activities aligned with the company’s values and broader ESG priorities. Help manage the end-to-end execution of CSR-related communications and activities, including concept development, internal coordination, content preparation, event support, stakeholder liaison, documentation of outcomes, and post-activity storytelling across internal and external channels.
  • Regional Alignment and Reporting Report directly to the Group Head, Communications, providing regular updates on Korea communications activities, media coverage, stakeholder engagement, and potential reputational risks.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with other functions such as HR, Business Development, and Sustainability teams where relevant to support integrated communications efforts and key market initiatives.
  • Continuity and Transition Management Maintain oversight of ongoing communications initiatives in South Korea and ensure proper documentation and handover to facilitate a smooth transition when the Korea Communications Manager returns.
