About The Position

This role is currently based at our Minneapolis office and will transition to our new headquarters in Dayton, MN, in 2027. The Manager, Commercial Applications leads cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and deliver scalable, enterprise commercial platforms, including Websites, Ecommerce, Digital Experience, integrated applications, and analytics platforms across the organization. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy in a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on driving operational efficiency and enabling standardized, business-aligned solutions. Leveraging Agile methodologies and product-based delivery practices, this role partners closely with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements, deliver business capabilities, and drive global process and system standardization. Responsibilities include conducting gap analysis, designing and implementing solutions, and supporting end-user adoption across Graco’s global divisions. The ideal candidate combines strong organizational and communication skills with analytical problem-solving capabilities and demonstrated leadership ability to develop, mentor, and motivate high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, MIS, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Commercial Applications, including Digital Experience, Ecommerce, Websites, or related platforms
  • 2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across business and IT organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance business needs and technical constraints
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% (domestic and international)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Digital Experience Platforms (e.g., AEM) and Ecommerce solutions
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and digital technologies such as SEO and web analytics
  • Experience integrating commercial platforms with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP)
  • Functional knowledge in one or more commercial business domains (e.g., order management, customer service, digital commerce, product information management, online payments)
  • Understanding of APIs, data structures, and integration patterns across enterprise systems
  • Experience working with globally distributed, cross-cultural teams
  • Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment

Responsibilities

  • Partner with IT and business leaders to develop and execute strategic plans to transform commercial operations and customer engagement capabilities
  • Contribute to defining and executing the Digital Commerce and Customer Experience application strategy and multi-year roadmap
  • Identify opportunities for process standardization, system rationalization, and cost optimization
  • Analyze industry trends and recommend improvements to current platforms, tools, and processes
  • Support adoption of standard work processes, application functionality, and data aligned to corporate IT policies and methodologies
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements, implementations, and upgrades across commercial application platforms
  • Drive adoption of Agile methodologies and product-based delivery practices, including backlog management and release planning
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct gap analysis, and design scalable, standardized solutions
  • Configure and implement system capabilities in alignment with business needs and enterprise architecture standards
  • Lead issue resolution and root cause analysis, working with business users, internal IT teams, and external vendors
  • Develop and manage project plans to deliver initiatives on schedule and within budget
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure system integrity, controls, and usability
  • Coordinate creation of system documentation and lead end-user training and adoption efforts
  • Ensure stable, reliable global production support for commercial applications
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of application specialists, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivery expectations
  • Drive team performance by setting clear objectives, providing feedback, and supporting professional development
  • Establish and manage the annual team budget, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities
  • Manage vendor relationships and support resource planning across internal and external teams
