About The Position

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a System Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services to strategically lead and optimize system-level clinical pharmacy services. This role drives the enterprise strategy for medication formulary, utilization guidelines, and clinical pharmacy programs. The manager will lead the development of standardized medication guidelines, coordinate evidence-based reviews, and optimize clinical interventions. Responsibilities include directing implementation efforts for the System Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee, managing the system-level medication formulary, achieving projected annual clinical initiative savings, conducting medication value analyses, and aligning formulary decisions with procurement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong strategic leadership, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of clinical pharmacy and formulary management. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day activities of a clinical pharmacist, developing competencies of clinical teams, and enhancing clinical programs. The manager must have training in clinical protocols/guidelines, EHR utilization, drug information resources, parenteral nutrition, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, pharmacy automation, and computer applications. The role requires leadership qualities, serving as a role model, and knowledge of pharmaceutical preparations, drug therapy review, drug information retrieval, medication use evaluation, evidence-based protocols, adverse drug reaction reporting, disease state management, and formulary management across all patient age groups. Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent pharmacy (or similar) work experience, upon hire
  • Registered Pharmacist with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy in good standing-(RPH)
  • Training in clinical protocols/guidelines
  • Training in applicable EHR utilization
  • Training in on-line drug information resources
  • Training in parenteral nutrition
  • Training in pharmacokinetics
  • Training in anticoagulation
