The Manager of Clinical Engineering is responsible for managing the Clinical Engineering project-management program and project portfolio across Beth Israel Lahey Health. The position establishes and maintains standardized project-management processes, tools, reporting, and governance to support the effective planning and execution of medical technology and capital equipment initiatives. The Manager provides oversight of the Clinical Engineering project portfolio, including project intake, prioritization, resource assignment, planning, scheduling, milestone management, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, documentation, and performance reporting. The Manager directly leads selected complex, high-impact, or multidisciplinary projects while assigning and supporting appropriately qualified Clinical Engineering resources in managing other projects according to scope, complexity, risk, and organizational need. The Manager supervises, mentors, develops, and evaluates assigned Clinical Engineering personnel and promotes consistent project-management knowledge and capability throughout the Clinical Engineering team. The position works closely with the Executive Director of Clinical Engineering and collaborates with clinical departments, Healthcare Technology Management, Clinical Systems Engineering, Information Services, Supply Chain, Facilities, Finance, vendors, and manufacturers to support successful implementation and lifecycle management of healthcare technology.
