NVIDIA•Santa Clara, CA
•$224,000 - $431,250

About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Chip Software Project management leader to define, build, and execute a chip through its full silicon life cycle for use in Automotive, Data Center, Embedded, and Mobile products. The role coordinates and executes software activities for next-generation SoC chip software development and provides technical program coordination within the Software organization. The position leads software planning and completion across the chip life cycle, including software POR, pre-silicon development and validation, bring-up, and productization. It also develops partner validation workflows and relationships, coordinates simulation and emulation plans, and ensures teams provide required software life-cycle collateral and develop software compliant with applicable safety standards. As a central program contact, the manager leads status communications across geographically distributed software teams, partners with platform teams on custom bring-up requirements, and serves as the primary interface to Automotive, Data Center, Embedded, and Mobile software groups for chip-related issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12 or more years of overall experience in related areas, including at least 4 years of management experience.
  • Deep understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Proven software technical project management background in a matrix organization.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, including CPUs, memory, buses and interconnects, operating systems, and device drivers.
  • Experience managing programs that span external partner engagement and internal engineering delivery simultaneously, from onboarding through joint go-to-market.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven track record leading software for Automotive, Data Center, and Mobile SoCs.
  • Experience building or growing partner lab environments, including security, compliance, and legal readiness frameworks.
  • Knowledge of pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up of complex SoCs.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards such as ISO 26262 and experience delivering safety-compliant software.
  • Experience in design and development of kernels, system software, or drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement software planning and completion for SoC chips, coordinating software POR, pre-silicon development, pre-silicon software validation, bring-up, and productization.
  • Develop and expand workflows for SoC partner validation programs, including partner engagement, qualification, onboarding, test execution, and result publication across multiple partners.
  • Build strategic connections with partners, serve as the main program contact, and identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency across companies.
  • Drive simulation and emulation POR, planning, and schedules in collaboration with Simulation and Emulation teams.
  • Ensure teams provide required collateral for the Software Product Life Cycle development process and drive development of software compliant with applicable safety standards.
  • Schedule and lead status meetings and communicate progress and status within and across software teams in multiple geographic locations.
  • Partner with platform teams to define, prioritize, and execute bring-up of their custom requirements.
  • Serve as the primary interface to Automotive, Data Center, Embedded, and Mobile software groups for chip-related issues and communication.
