About The Position

Provides overall technical direction and administration to case management personnel, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively. Regularly reviews and revises relevant standards as necessary and ensures services comply with hospital, system, and regulatory agency standards. Coordinates service delivery with other nursing and medical functions and serves as a technical resource for departmental personnel. As an expert in the assigned area, supports staff and physicians. Oversees, guides, and mentors the team to help ensure patients receive the right level of care at the right time and that patients requiring referral care or services receive them in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a health-related field from an accredited educational institution.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Four years of professional experience in RN patient care and case management.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in business or a health-related field.
• Two years of experience in supervision.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers, directly and through subordinate supervisory personnel, the effective management and delivery of case management services in accordance with hospital, system, and regulatory agency standards.
• Assists with ensuring quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
• Assists with developing and administering capital and operating budgets to meet departmental goals and objectives; implements methods to monitor budget adherence and resolve variances.
• Serves as a technical resource to subordinates in resolving complex problems and investigating and recommending corrective actions in response to incident reports and patient complaints.
• Assists with recommendations for new supplies and minor equipment purchases.
• Coordinates provision of services with other nursing and medical functions.
• Oversees, guides, and mentors the care management team.
