About The Position

Responsible for providing leadership for the cardiology service line inclusive of non-invasive imaging, cardiology clinic, and cardiac rehab. Develops objectives, policies, and procedures for assigned clinical practice(s). Responsible to maintain the standards, customer relations in conjunction with the mission, vision and key values Billings Clinic. Accountabilities include quality of services; short and long range planning to achieve goals and objectives; fiscal control; physician and interdepartmental/intradepartmental relations; personnel management.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Wyoming licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or Cardiovascular CCU
  • 1 -3 years of direct supervisory, lead, or management experience in a clinical setting
  • 3-5 years overall healthcare or cardiac care experience
  • Demonstrated management/leadership and program management skills
  • BLS, and ACLS certification is required at hire
  • Heart Saver CPR Certification required.
  • Healthcare Provider CPR Certification required if providing direct patient care services
  • Current Montana or Wyoming state license as a registered nurse required
  • Current Montana or Wyoming driver’s license and the ability to be insured to operate Billings Clinic vehicles

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • CVN or CCRN is desired.
  • Specialized cardiovascular technologist background or respiratory therapist

Responsibilities

  • Develops and oversees Cardiology to ensure adherence to organizational mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and business strategies.
  • Leads the assigned clinic practice(s) in the overall marketing, program development, and service priorities.
  • Coordinates with physicians and leadership to assure continuity in pursuing service line/organizational goals and synergy in implementing plans and problem resolution.
  • Supports community education and awareness by conducting public education programs, participation in health fairs and other events.
  • Promotes the value of health care provided by the organization by creating effective public relations programs to differentiate and promote the services provided
  • Develops, implements, and maintains a realistic, cost-effective annual budget
  • Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and enhancing patient access.
  • Monitors periodic financial statements measuring the relevant business activity and financial position of the assigned clinical practice(s) and the organization to ensure appropriate financial management
  • In close cooperation and teamwork with the Regional Leadership and finance teams, establishes a system of controls by designing and enforcing checks and balances to minimize the risk of financial loss through appropriate encounter and charge capture, effective documentation and coding compliance, etc
  • Develops, retains, recruits, and leads a talented team committed to accomplishing the goals and objectives of Cardiology.
  • Recommends, implements, and evaluates plans and systems that assure a sufficient number of qualified and competent staff to provide care/services.
  • Adheres to administrative policies and procedures relating to human resource management.
  • Demonstrates and encourages an ethic of open communication and teamwork.
  • Participates in evaluation, selection and integration of health care technology and information management systems that support quality of care/financial needs and the efficient use of resources.
