About The Position

The Manager, Business Transformation is responsible for leading strategic transformation initiatives that improve organizational performance, efficiency, and scalability. This role partners with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, establish transformation priorities, and translate organizational objectives into actionable strategies and initiatives. The Manager provides leadership across complex transformation efforts, drives alignment and accountability across stakeholder groups, and ensures sustainable adoption of new processes and ways of working. This role also leads and develops Business Transformation team members while establishing consistent approaches for delivering and measuring transformation outcomes.

Requirements

Executive-level communication and influencing skills, with proven ability to build consensus across competing priorities and translate complex technical and security concepts into business impact for senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams through ambiguity and high-pressure environments, setting priorities and making sound decisions with incomplete information.
Advanced facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolutions skills, including resolving cross-functional barriers and escalating appropriately to leadership.
Proven ability to coach, develop and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
Demonstrated experience building business cases, ROI models, and KPI frameworks that inform executive decision-making.
Experience owning audit and compliance frameworks for policies and standards (especially cyber and privacy), including remediation planning.
Experience establishing and governing documentation, process and change management standards across an organization.
Deep understanding of large corporate enterprise systems, integrations and end-to-end workflows.
5+ years of progressive experience in business transformation, process improvement, IT/application operations, or related discipline.
2+ years of direct people leadership, team lead, or formal mentorship experience.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional transformation or process redesign initiatives from assessment though implementation and sustainment.
Experience presenting recommendations, roadmaps and performance reporting to senior and executive leadership.
Experience developing and managing dashboards, executive reporting and operational/financial performance analysis.
Experience in a large, matrixed enterprise environment with multiple business units and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of transformation strategies, goals, and success measures.
Partner with senior leadership to align transformation priorities with business objectives and organizational strategy.
Identify and evaluate opportunities for operational improvement, innovation, and organizational effectiveness.
Develop and oversee business cases, ROI models, and recommendations for transformation initiatives.
Establish transformation roadmaps and prioritize initiatives based on business value, organizational readiness, dependencies, and available resources.
Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on opportunities to improve business performance and scalability.
Serve as a strategic partner to executives, department leaders, and cross-functional teams.
Lead workshops, planning sessions, and executive discussions to establish alignment and drive decision-making.
Build organizational support and accountability for transformation initiatives.
Anticipate organizational impacts and develop strategies to address resistance, adoption challenges, and competing priorities.
Establish and oversee change management strategies for significant transformation initiatives.
Communicate transformation priorities, progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
Resolve cross-functional barriers and escalate issues requiring leadership intervention.
Lead the assessment and redesign of complex business processes, workflows, and operating models.
Identify systemic inefficiencies, organizational gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for standardization or automation.
Establish future-state processes and operating models that improve efficiency, accountability, and scalability.
Ensure transformation efforts appropriately consider people, process, technology, and organizational impacts.
Establish methodologies, standards, and best practices for process improvement and transformation.
Drive continuous improvement across implemented processes and operating models.
Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and development to Business Transformation team members.
Establish team priorities and provide guidance on complex transformation initiatives.
Oversee execution of transformation initiatives and ensure appropriate ownership, governance, and accountability.
Monitor milestones, dependencies, risks, and organizational impacts across transformation efforts.
Establish KPIs and performance measures to evaluate transformation outcomes and business value.
Analyze operational and financial performance to measure results and identify additional opportunities.
Develop dashboards, executive reporting, and insights to support leadership decision-making.
Ensure transformation initiatives deliver sustainable outcomes and remain aligned with organizational priorities.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
