About The Position

Reporting to the Executive Director, Data Science & Monetization, the Manager, Business Intelligence & Insights plays a key role in enabling trusted, timely decision making across the business. This role leads BI strategy and delivery, with ownership of modernizing legacy reporting from on premise and or Synapse environments to a governed Databricks and Power BI platform. You will partner closely with stakeholders to shape the BI roadmap, prioritize meaningful outcomes, and expand Insights as a Service through AI and agentic approaches. The role also leads and develops a team of three BI professionals, delivering scalable, high impact solutions that support self serve analytics and reduce manual reporting. This is a hybrid position (3 days in the office per week). Office location is 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years in BI / analytics / data visualization roles delivering production reporting at scale.
  • 2+ years people leadership (direct people management and/or strong team lead experience).
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and Power BI in enterprise reporting environments.
  • Experience modernizing or migrating reporting from legacy platforms (e.g. on prem reporting stacks, Synapse, cubes/SSRS) to a modern cloud analytics ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to define roadmaps, run prioritization with stakeholders, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Proficient in digital analytics reporting tools, such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Own the BI product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment to business priorities, executive decision needs, and clearly defined, measurable outcomes.
  • Lead BI intake and prioritization with business partners while driving the overall health and maturity of BI capabilities, including scalability, reliability, and governance, and providing regular executive level updates on progress, risks, and trade offs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of three BI professionals, setting clear expectations for performance, growth, and sustained delivery while establishing standards, ways of working, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary cross functional BI lead, aligning Data Engineering, Governance, and business stakeholders to remove blockers, drive execution, and ensure end to end accountability for BI outcomes.
  • Deliver scalable BI solutions on Databricks and Power BI, partnering with Data Engineering and Governance to ensure standardized, trusted metrics and reliable delivery.
  • Lead the migration and rationalization of legacy reporting into a unified cloud BI platform to reduce duplication and improve consistency and trust.
  • Enable AI driven, self serve Insights as a Service through Databricks Genie and agentic workflows, delivering executive ready insights that inform senior leadership decisions and drive adoption across the business.
