Requirements

  • Minimum of five years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Graduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Manages multiple end-to-end business processes to ensure regulatory compliance. Provides business controls oversight for multiple business lines.
  • Leads the development, implementation, and management of divisional/business control management programs and risk mitigation. Identifies, evaluates, and mitigates risk. Leads the development and execution of key control monitoring to evaluate control effectiveness
  • Builds and maintains strategic relationships to support the business controls oversight framework. Coordinates divisional/business control activities across departmental and business lines.
  • Leads in the monitoring, reporting, and development of divisional/business control strategies. Prepares documentation of operational models for regulators and independent auditors. Identifies and proposes resolutions for gaps across all divisions and processes. Ensures compliance with regulations, mitigates enterprise-wide business risk, and oversees continuous improvement of processes.
  • Maintains an intermediate level of Vanguard and industry knowledge. Keeps current on Vanguard policies and objectives, continues to expand knowledge of the business and industry, and keeps current on competition.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
