About The Position

Enterprise Business Services is National Grid’s shared service organisation that operates core end-to-end processes on behalf of the global functions and operates Engineering Services on behalf of the business units. We have a great opportunity for a Business Change Lead to support our Record to Report in their change landscape, primarily in the US with our NextGen ERP programme implementation but will extend into other areas such as but not limited to Kraken, AI and Automation, new vendor relationships and changes in operational structures. The Change Manager will play a key role in ensuring that organizational projects and initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage in a sustainable way. This role focuses on working with partners across EBS to manage the Record to Report side of change, including changes to business processes, systems, technology, job roles, and organization structures to ensure that changes are smoothly and successfully embedded across EBS with minimal to no disruption in BAU and close activities and timelines. This is a hybrid role and can be primarily US based but is a global leadership role with team members across UK and US, delivering globally. Travel between UK/US expected periodically.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) certification or Strong understanding of the CCMP framework and its application in change management.
  • Proven experience in change management and large-scale transformations, preferably within a large organization.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders spread out over a geographical location.
  • Ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and lifecycle phases

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing resistance.
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan.
  • Develop a communications strategy and approach.
  • Deliver communications that inform and engage stakeholders about the change.
  • Ensure that messages are clear, consistent, and aligned with the overall change strategy.
  • Design and maintain consistent two-way feedback loops to gather stakeholder input, identify emerging concerns, and inform ongoing change and engagement activities.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure the organization is ready for the change.
  • Identify, assess, and confidently escalate business readiness risks and concerns to leadership, providing clear recommendations for mitigation and decision-making.
  • Support training efforts by providing input, documenting requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Ensure that training materials are aligned with the change management strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management activities.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for change initiatives.
  • Conduct readiness assessments to assess the size, nature, and impact of organizational change.
  • Establish and build relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate recurring Record to Report leadership engagement forums to provide strategic change advisement, surface emerging risks and concerns, and support informed decision-making.
  • Inspire and motivate others to achieve organizational goals.
  • Build trust and credibility with stakeholders and establish a shared purpose and alignment around the change initiative.
  • Articulate a clear vision for change and guide the organisation towards achieving it.
  • Convey the need for change and engage stakeholders throughout the process to support building awareness, desire and commitment amongst the business.
  • Develop compelling executive-level presentations and change narratives that translate complex impacts into clear, actionable insights and help leaders understand the employee and business experience of change.
  • Develop and deliver proactive, organization-wide communications that keep the RtR organization informed of upcoming changes, business impacts, key milestones, and required actions, while clearly connecting day-to-day role impacts to broader RtR strategic priorities and transformation objectives.
  • Support with iterative and agile working.
  • Understand how different stakeholders groups are impacted by changes, what it means for them on a day to day basis and helping them embed new ways of working.
  • Align, sequence, and integrate change management deliverables with overall project plans, milestones, dependencies, and decision points.
  • Learn about new change management ways of working and approaches to managing change.
