About The Position

The Manager, Business Analysis leads a team of Business Analysts responsible for partnering with business stakeholders and technology teams to define, scope, and support technology initiatives aligned with organizational goals. This role provides leadership, coaching, and direction to the Business Analysis team, ensuring consistent practices in requirements gathering, process improvement, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. The Manager works closely with technology and business leaders to ensure high-quality requirements, strong business alignment, and successful delivery outcomes. This position plays a critical role in evolving the Business Analysis practice by establishing standards, improving processes, and building a scalable, high-performing BA capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience, or a minimum of 8 years of equivalent experience in IT business analysis, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or related technology roles. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience leading in both operational and project-based delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, requirements management, and process modeling.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders, delivery management, and engineering teams to translate business intent into executable technology solutions.
  • Experience building or maturing Business Analysis practices, standards, deliverables and governance models.
  • Ability to assess scope, identify dependencies and risks, and enable realistic planning before execution begins.
  • Facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional discussions and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership, including influencing without direct authority and fostering collaborative, outcome-focused teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in an iterative delivery process.
  • Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all job-related State and Federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Analysts supporting operational and project initiatives.
  • Balance Business Analyst workloads and support prioritization across competing operational and project demands.
  • Own and evolve Business Analysis standards, methodologies, templates, and documentation practices.
  • Establish and reinforce best practices for requirements gathering and traceability, documentation quality, stakeholder communication, and governance.
  • Ensure business requirements are clearly documented, traceable, aligned to strategic business objectives, consumable by delivery and technical teams, and meet organizational standards for quality, completeness, and consistency.
  • Partner with Delivery, Product, and Technology leaders to improve intake, prioritization, and execution practices.
  • Assist with complex or high-risk initiatives, including requirements challenges, escalations, and cross-department dependencies.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business and IT leadership.
  • Provide clear and timely communication on issues, risks, and changes as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
