About The Position

This role involves leading, analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements with stakeholders using various techniques to elicit, challenge, and gain consensus. The specialist will identify, document, and validate current state processes, support the design of future state processes, and provide recommendations based on the end-to-end customer experience. Responsibilities include overseeing business requirements delivery, monitoring and mitigating risks, ensuring quality outputs, and tracking progress. The role also involves analyzing business processes and systems impacted by requirements, ensuring acceptance criteria clearly demonstrate changes, and managing the traceability of business requirements. The specialist will leverage domain, product, and systems knowledge to understand the business vision, provide subject matter expertise, and drive focus toward business value. Promoting innovation through forward-thinking ideas and critical thinking for improvement is key. The role requires timely notification and escalation of issues, assessing options, and providing recommendations for resolution. Additionally, the specialist must ensure work meets regulatory and framework controls, support positive relationships with partners and stakeholders, and effectively communicate to ensure alignment with delivery frameworks and objectives. Analytical skills are needed to understand business problems, impacted stakeholders, and proposed solutions, aligning with TD's risk appetite. Identifying, documenting, and managing risks and issues, escalating when necessary, is crucial. Concerns from stakeholders must be managed promptly, and support for change management, implementation, and RFI/RFP activities is expected. The role provides guidance in requirements delivery with a focus on quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation, adhering to the TD Code of Conduct. As a team member, the specialist will participate fully, support a positive work environment, and ensure timely communication. Thought leadership and industry knowledge are expected, along with participation in knowledge transfer. Staying current on trends and developments, growing business and tool knowledge, and engaging in personal development are important. Keeping others informed about project status and contributing to team skill development through mentorship and knowledge sharing are also key. Leading and motivating internal and external partners, contributing to a fair and equitable environment, and acting as a brand ambassador are expected. The role requires advanced knowledge of business analysis and delivery execution practices, a strong understanding of business and user interaction with technology, and the ability to provide leadership guidance and recommendations. The specialist will act as a conduit between business and technology, oversee requirements management, and lead problem resolution for complex requirements issues. This is a lead business analyst role, with potential to coach and guide team members and lead requirements management for high-risk, strategic initiatives. The position reports to a Senior Manager or Practice Area Lead.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead, analyze, document, and manage requirements with stakeholders by applying a variety of techniques to probe, elicit, challenge, understand, and gain consensus on requirements.
  • Identify, document, and validate current state processes and support stakeholders to design the desired future state; provide recommendations and/or direction based on the end-to-end customer experience when making decisions.
  • Oversee, provide support and input to business requirements delivery and monitor/assess/mitigate requirements-related risks, ensure quality outputs and track progress.
  • Ensure business processes/systems impacted by requirements are analyzed and the acceptance criteria clearly demonstrates the changes to business process/systems to meet customer needs.
  • Work with Change Management to assess and ensure that customer and employee experience / stakeholder impacts are appropriately identified and managed.
  • Manage and oversee the traceability of business requirements.
  • Leverage specialized domain, product, and systems knowledge to have a thorough understanding of the business, product, and vision; provide business/product subject matter expertise as well as recognize and drive the focus toward business value.
  • Promote innovation by applying subject matter expertise to generate forward-thinking ideas as well as critical thinking to find opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems while assessing options and recommendations for prompt resolution.
  • Ensure work meets associated regulatory and framework controls, standards, and best practices.
  • Support team in managing and building positive relationships with partners and key stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment to delivery framework and objectives.
  • Apply analytical skills to effectively understand business problems, impacted stakeholders, and proposed solutions to ensure alignment to TD's risk appetite.
  • Identify, document, and actively manage material risks and issues, escalating to appropriate leadership when necessary to ensure the timely and unimpeded progress of work.
  • Promptly manage concerns from stakeholders and ensure timely and effective problem resolution.
  • Support change management planning and activities, including those that ensure operational readiness.
  • Support implementation and post-implementation planning and activities.
  • Support Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) planning and activities, when required.
  • Provides support/oversight and guidance in the delivery of requirements with focus on quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation.
  • Adhere to the TD Code of Conduct.
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
  • Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit.
