About The Position

RubinBrown LLP is seeking an experienced Manager, Assurance Services to join their nationally recognized Real Estate Services Group. In this leadership role, the individual will serve a diverse portfolio of real estate clients while helping grow the Assurance Services practice. This is an opportunity to build trusted client relationships, lead high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional assurance services within a collaborative, entrepreneurial firm recognized for its expertise in affordable housing and other specialized real estate sectors.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
Active CPA license required.
Progressive public accounting experience in Assurance Services, including experience managing complex audit engagements.
Experience serving clients in the real estate industry.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting requirements.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing staff.
Strong client relationship, communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred.
Experience with affordable housing, LIHTC, historic tax credits, renewable energy, Opportunity Zones, or other specialized real estate sectors.
Business development experience or an interest in supporting practice growth.

Responsibilities

Manage complex assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of real estate clients, ensuring exceptional client service, audit quality, and compliance with professional standards.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services and support business development initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor on accounting, financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory matters affecting the real estate industry.
Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated solutions that meet clients' evolving business needs.
Review engagement workpapers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
Contribute to the continued growth and success of RubinBrown's Real Estate Assurance Services practice.
