About The Position

The Manager, Assortment Activation, leads the planning and coordination of modular execution to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of assortment initiatives. This role oversees resource allocation, monitors progress, and addresses risks to meet business objectives. Acting as a subject-matter expert, the manager provides guidance and mentorship to associates while fostering operational excellence. Effective cross-functional communication and continuous improvement are essential to support strategic goals. The position demands strong project coordination, data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to upholding company standards and values throughout execution. Our team leads the design and execution of produce modulars across all stores nationwide, translating merchant strategies into customer-focused assortments that enhance the in-store experience. We manage cross-functional initiatives, analyze data, and drive solutions to improve operational processes. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, we ensure clear communication and effective execution of merchandising programs. Requirements

  • Proven experience in workload planning, resource allocation, and project coordination to ensure timely and quality execution.
  • Strong knowledge of modular execution standards and planogram literacy with the ability to provide hands-on consultation.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex requirements into structured plans and maintain clear updates across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks, remove blockers, and drive continuous improvement through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Experience mentoring and developing associates, fostering operational excellence and team growth.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process improvement to support strategic decision-making and execution efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, operations, or related area and 2 years’ experience in retail operations, merchandising, or modular execution.
  • 4 years’ experience in retail operations, merchandising, or modular execution, with demonstrated coordination ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and balance workload assignments to optimize resource allocation and meet project milestones with quality and timeliness.
  • Coordinate daily modular execution activities, managing timelines, dependencies, and resources to ensure seamless relay execution.
  • Provide expert guidance on modular execution standards and walkthrough practices, supporting associates to maintain consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • Track progress, identify risks, and remove obstacles to achieve deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Translate leadership and analyst requirements into structured execution plans with clear communication of updates and decisions.
  • Capture feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvement and refine repeatable practices.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering operational excellence and growth opportunities.
