About The Position

The Manager of Asset Protection (AP) supervises the Asset Protection team in the assigned store, including recruiting, developing employees, overseeing performance, and budgeting. The role executes the company’s shrinkage-reduction strategy within the store and is responsible for employee safety and security, theft prevention, and supporting company profitability and values. The manager partners with cross-functional store leaders to support the retail asset protection business.

Requirements

A valid security license is required for this role in Washington DC, Denver, Colorado, New York City, New York, St. Louis, Missouri, and Oregon.
Proven success in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures, as well as prior AP leadership experience.
Comprehensive understanding of Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management Software.
Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with employees and leaders.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in high-stress situations.
Strong written communication skills.
Strong organizational, delegation, and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

Lead by example and execute the organizational strategy set by the AP Division.
Develop strong relationships across the store, including with the Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy, and Human Resources, and lead on shrink-impacting subjects.
Own building security and safety, educate the store on emergency preparedness, and assist employees during safety incidents.
Monitor and communicate reports to ensure AP incidents and cases are properly reported and documented.
Use data to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft.
Lead execution of the company shrink program and directives, including shrink-reduction plans and detection of theft and dishonesty.
Hire and develop talent to support investigations, auditing, shortage-reduction programs, AP awareness programs, and system controls.
Use reporting to identify risks, mitigate issues, reduce loss, and maximize profitability.
