Come grow with us! The Power / Recovery Manager will be responsible for managing the Supply of steam, electricity, air and water to the Mill in a safe, Efficient, and reliable manner.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of pulp and paper experience or bachelor's in engineering with at least 2 years of equivalent experience.
Solid understanding of the Power department- safety environmental, costs, quality and customers.
Candidates must possess the ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks, an understanding of team concepts, a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as well as an established skill to execute work based on standards and procedures.
Qualified candidates must have a demonstrated ability to enforce accountability.
Proven Safety Leadership Skills
Demonstrated competence to work with minimum supervision
Demonstrated competence to work with all levels of mill management
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

Promote a safe and caring culture within the power department
Ensure environmental compliance with all regulations
Coordinates and communicates with maintenance and planners
Responsible for producing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Works with maintenance to ensure all work orders receive timely rough cost estimates
Engage and develop crew leadership and provide world class customer service to other departments of the Mill
Manage the reliability of the power boiler, turbine generator, Utilities, Recovery Boiler, Evaporator, Demineralizer and wastewater treatment systems.
Provide guidance to the Mill to achieve minimum energy costs
Interact effectively and cooperatively within all levels of the Organization
Manage all aspects of revenue generation including the marketing of electrical power
Coordinate all aspects of outages (planning, execution, reliability, cost, etc.)
Support the Project Development Process, working closely with Project Engineering and Area leaders in Power and Maintenance.
