Manager, APP-Clinical (MyCare 365)
About The Position
The Manager, APP Clinical, MyCare365 is responsible for operational performance and the appropriate development of advanced practice providers (NPs and PAs) within their group, team, or division. The manager works in a triad partnership with the Medical Director and Practice Manager of the respective WSP/WSG group or division. The role leads the group, team, or division in developing and executing operational tactics to achieve its goals, including goals related to quality, patient experience, clinical and financial outcomes, new services, regional and referral development, clinical operations, and medical staff interactions. The manager collaborates with physician and advanced practice provider leaders, physicians, APPs, nursing, administration, recruiting, clinical and financial staff, compliance, and marketing. The manager also provides clinical care to patients within the assigned division and the WakeMed system. The role calls for a collaborative leadership style in support of WakeMed Health and Hospitals’ mission, vision, and values, and its goal of national leadership.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Practitioner, or Certified Nurse Midwife.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies or Nursing.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse Midwife.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operational performance and appropriate development of advanced practice providers within the assigned group, team, or division.
- Partner with the Medical Director and Practice Manager in a triad leadership structure.
- Lead the development and execution of operational tactics to achieve group goals.
- Support goals related to quality, patient experience, clinical outcomes, financial outcomes, new services, regional development, referral development, clinical operations, and medical staff interactions.
- Collaborate with physician and APP leaders, physicians, APPs, nursing, administration, recruiting, clinical and financial staff, compliance, and marketing.
- Provide clinical care to patients within the assigned division and WakeMed system.
- Use a collaborative leadership style to support WakeMed Health and Hospitals’ mission, vision, and values.
