The Manager of Ancillary Services is responsible for physical operations, safety, maintenance, security, environmental services, and emergency management planning for the community. This role ensures the building, equipment, and grounds remain safe, functional, compliant, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors. Oversee department budgets, purchasing and capital planning Monitor contracts and vendor relationships Maintain compliance with state and federal senior living requirements Prepare for inspections and audits Maintain emergency preparedness plans Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators, elevators, and mechanical systems Ensure preventative maintenance programs are completed Respond to emergency repair issues. Promote customer satisfaction across service lines. Assures quality-focused, cost-effective delivery outcomes and the business success of the organization. Utilizes experience, research, and education to effectively oversee the human, fiscal, and material resources of the ancillary departments. Areas may include, but not limited to: safety, maintenance, laundry, environmental services, infection control, and emergency preparedness. Possesses a creative outlook and creativity skills. Ability to be flexible and adapts to changing priorities. Utilizes outstanding critical thinking and negotiating skills. Values education and seeks opportunities to enhance the knowledge and competencies of staff and managers. Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Troubleshoots, coordinates, and provides oversight to multiple departments within ancillary services. Takes on and completes other duties as assigned.
