About The Position

This role is for a Manager, AI and Innovation Communications at Thomson Reuters, focusing on communicating how the company is building AI systems to transform professional work. The manager will be a core contributor, executing high-quality content and communications programs for product launches, customer storytelling, and executive support. The position requires a strong writer and communicator with genuine curiosity about AI and technology, who stays current on industry developments. The individual should be comfortable working across multiple workstreams, possess some design or video skills, and be eager to grow in a team that operates at the intersection of technology, communications, and professional services. They will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to produce content that is accurate, credible, and resonant with professional audiences, building real fluency in Thomson Reuters' AI initiatives and their significance.

Requirements

  • Have 3–5+ years of experience in communications, content, or a related field
  • Are a strong, clear writer who can adapt your voice and format to different audiences and channels — from a customer case study to a social post to a briefing document
  • Have genuine, active intellectual curiosity about AI and emerging technology — you follow the space closely, you read broadly, and you want to develop real depth of understanding, not just surface familiarity
  • Stay current on developments in AI, machine learning, and adjacent technical areas, and can bring that knowledge meaningfully into your communications work
  • Have basic skills in video production or design — you're comfortable contributing to visual content, whether that means editing a short video, building a simple graphic, or working effectively with creative partners using tools like Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, or similar
  • Can manage multiple projects simultaneously, stay organized under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Are comfortable working in a matrixed organization and collaborating across teams with different priorities and perspectives
  • Have a developing understanding of how enterprises and professionals evaluate and adopt technology, and can write credibly to that audience
  • Are excited about using AI tools in your own work to move faster and produce better output
  • Have some exposure to media relations, either in-house or at an agency, and are interested in developing those skills further
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high bar for accuracy and detail

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to technology, B2B, SaaS, or enterprise software
  • Experience in a publicly traded company or large enterprise environment

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of product and launch communications, translating technical inputs into clear, audience-appropriate narratives
  • Contribute to the development of visual and video content, bringing basic design or video production skills to help bring stories to life across channels
  • Maintain quality and consistency across all written and visual outputs, with strong attention to detail and brand voice
  • Support the development of customer success stories and case studies that demonstrate measurable AI impact
  • Help build and maintain a library of customer proof points and supporting content assets, including written, visual, and video formats
  • Conduct research and interviews to surface compelling stories from customers and internal stakeholders
  • Assist in developing content for Thomson Reuters product and technology leaders, including social content, talking points, and supporting materials for speaking engagements
  • Help ensure consistency of voice and messaging across executive-facing content
  • Actively follow developments in AI, machine learning, and related technologies — tracking research, product releases, industry trends, and regulatory discussions with genuine depth and curiosity
  • Compile media monitoring summaries and briefing materials that go beyond headlines to surface what's actually relevant and why
  • Bring AI landscape knowledge into day-to-day work, helping the team stay informed and ensuring Thomson Reuters' messaging reflects a credible understanding of the space
  • Build and maintain familiarity with Thomson Reuters AI product roadmap and the professional services landscape it serves
  • Support proactive and reactive media engagement across technology, business, and trade press covering AI, legal tech, fintech, and professional services
  • Help build and maintain relationships with journalists and analysts who cover the AI and enterprise technology space, with a view to developing those relationships over time into genuine, trusted connections
  • Draft and coordinate media materials including press releases, pitches, briefing documents, and Q&A documents
  • Support executive media preparation, including interview prep, message development, and briefing documents
  • Monitor media coverage and track journalist beats to identify timely opportunities for proactive outreach
  • Assist with reactive media inquiries, coordinating internally to develop accurate, on-message responses quickly
  • Contribute to the team's growing understanding of the media landscape as it relates to AI, professional services, and enterprise technology
  • Coordinate with marketing, product marketing, and regional teams to support message alignment across channels
