Skills is looking for a Manager at the Adult Training Facility in the Mifflintown area. The Manager of the Adult Training Facility directs, supervises, plans, and coordinates the work of assigned employees and ensures compliance with company and department policies and procedures. The manager provides the support and assistance to individuals with disabilities so they can achieve those skills necessary to live independently within the community and to create conditions within the facility to facilitate growth and self-awareness. He/she oversees the safety of the physical environment and addresses concerns in a timely manner; demonstrates knowledge of regulations by maintaining compliance with regulations within the residential site; participates in annual inspections of the facility; assists the Director in developing a Plan of Correction to address the results of inspection. Provides direct care in a backup role if necessary; participates in Individual Program Plan meetings and other team meetings; completes periodic physical site inspections; assists in obtaining and documenting necessary bids prior to purchasing items over designated amounts when requested; provides supervision to facility staff within assigned programs. The Manager will also be responsible for evaluating the job performance of assigned employees, counseling, disciplining, and recommending discharges of assigned employees, when necessary, as well as preparing schedules which include staffing patterns and/or schedules for assigned employees. Must be willing to become a certified investigator and assist with training as needed. Must have knowledge of PA state/county intellectual disability system. Must be familiar with Individuals Support Plans and must be familiar with principles of Everyday Lives. Requirements

  • Master's degree or above from an accredited college and/or university with 2 years of work experience in administration or human services field.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and/or university with 4 years of work experience in administration or human services field.
  • Valid PA driver's license.
  • Pre-employment drug screening required.
