About The Position

The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional is responsible for serving as the primary advocate for the individuals and for ensuring that monitoring functions are completed appropriately. A QIDP's assignment may be a defined caseload. The QIDP is the liaison between the facility, individual's family, and outside agencies. Supervision is provided by the Social services Supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, liberal arts or human services related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience working directly with persons with disabilities.
• Master's degree in psychology, liberal arts or human services related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of experience working directly with persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serving as the primary advocate for the individuals.
• Ensuring that monitoring functions are completed appropriately.
• Serving as the liaison between the facility, individual's family, and outside agencies.
