About The Position

Responsible for managing the services delivered to a designated program or set of programs, and the operation of programs. This is a full-time, exempt, salaried supervisor role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
  • Other education and experience as required by applicable regulations.
  • Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance if driving on behalf of the Company or providing transportation to individuals receiving services.
  • Licensure(s) as required by state.
  • Medication Management Certificate issued with the completion of Company provided training.
  • Mandatory Reporter Certificate issued with the completion of Company provided training.
  • Other training(s) and/or certification(s) per state requirements and/or service line.
  • For specific programs: AZ Behavioral Health programs must meet BHT requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, staffing, training, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
  • Recruit and hire Direct Support Professionals and Program Supervisors.
  • Organize and implement on-site orientation and training for assigned programs and monitor training compliance and documentation.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings and attend regional meetings.
  • Design and monitor employee schedules to ensure all shifts are covered and minimize overtime.
  • Conduct performance snapshots and evaluations for direct reports.
  • Coach employees, correct employee behavior, and recommend or participate in decisions regarding discipline and termination.
  • Manage the termination of Direct Support Professionals or other staff members.
  • Ensure employee safety and workers’ compensation programs, monitor compliance, and assist in returning employees to work.
  • Act as the QIDP (if required), write and approve individual program plans, and train staff on implementation.
  • Periodically audit individual records and other program documentation for accuracy and completion.
  • Conduct progress meetings and reviews as appropriate.
  • Oversee licensing compliance for program services and supports, ensure timely and accurate program documentation, and implement compliance plans.
  • Manage individual rights implementation while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to individual rights standards.
  • Implement systems and oversee the management of individuals’ funds and property, assuring safety and accuracy.
  • Audit, monitor, and review individual’s financial accounts.
  • Maintain productive and professional relations with individuals, families, case managers and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular communication to stakeholders and act as a point of contact.
  • Implement satisfaction improvement plans.
  • Engage in government and community relations, participate in advocacy efforts, and ensure preparedness for home visits.
  • Implement proactive strategies to reduce or eliminate serious incidents, take immediate steps to correct potential safety concerns, and review all incidents.
  • Direct appropriate response to incidents, ensure timely incident reporting, and sign and submit all incident reports as required.
  • Oversee coordination of health care appointments and monitor individual attendance.
  • Oversee system for medication administration, documentation, and security, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all applicable employees are certified or trained in medication administration.
  • Approve purchases of medical supplies and equipment and ensure training in proper use.
  • Monitor food service in accordance with dietary plans and regulatory compliance, ensuring consideration for special needs and individual choice.
  • Approve purchase of food, supplies and equipment, and review and monitor monthly invoices for accuracy and budgetary compliance.
  • Oversee census, attendance information or other required documentation to assure accurate billing.
  • Monitor utilization between authorization and provision of services and supports.
  • Monitor staffing hours for budgetary compliance.
  • Develop understanding of program growth strategy and support implementation of growth initiatives.
  • Monitor census performance for their location(s) and escalate potential service disruptions.
  • Review referrals to validate fit for specific locations and identify and escalate potential barriers to serving individuals.
  • Coordinate and prepare for in-person site visits at locations during referral process.
  • Coordinate preparations required for expected placements including staffing, funding, home set-up, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and safe.
  • Implement training procedures for maintenance and safe operation of company-owned vehicles.
  • Address known safety concerns with employee vehicles or other means of transportation.
  • Monitor and implement strategies to assure neat, clean, and safe program environments.
  • Oversee environmental safety program, establish preventive maintenance schedule, and maintain furnishings, equipment, and facilities in good repair.
  • Perform other duties and activities as required, including backfilling roles under supervision.
  • Be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.
