About The Position

Geotab is seeking a Manager, Accounts Receivable to lead a high-performing accounts receivable team. This role is responsible for driving accuracy and efficiency across the full invoicing and collections cycle, and championing the integration of AI tools to scale team output without expanding headcount. The ideal candidate loves finance, people leadership, and building smarter ways of working.

Requirements

Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5–8 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or general accounting (AP background also considered)
3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role managing a team
Hands-on experience with accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills
Genuine comfort with technology and a proactive mindset toward integrating AI tools and automation into daily workflows
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with presentations and training
Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume accounts and lead a team independently
Well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

Responsibilities

Overseeing end-to-end AR operations — from invoicing and credit checks to collections and compliance
Empowering a capable team to execute at a high level
Setting team objectives aligned with the accounting department’s goals
Monitoring invoice processing
Ensuring timely payment collection
Conducting credit checks
Negotiating with clients in non-payment situations
Preparing monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc forecasting reports
Maintaining organized records of invoices and deposits
Ensuring all procedures comply with applicable laws and accounting principles
Proactively identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve throughput and process quality across the team
Overseeing the activities and performance of direct reports, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship
Collaborating and supporting employees during performance management, KPA achievement, and career development planning
Monitoring and reporting on deviations from credit standards; ensuring pricing accuracy and accounting for concessions
Supporting Geotab global strategic initiatives
