About The Position

Capital Health is seeking a Manager Accounting to join their team. This role is responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating with the Finance Director on budgeting and forecasting, tracking key financial metrics, and managing day-to-day accounting functions. The position also involves assisting with various financial reports, supporting the claims process, reviewing vendor invoices, monitoring grant allocations, and assisting with audits. Additionally, the Manager Accounting will maintain internal controls, provide training on financial procedures, ensure timely submission of staff expense reports, and may oversee finance support staff or interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting required.
  • Three years leadership experience in healthcare finance, preferably within the non-profit sector.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including monthly financial statements, trial balances, and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with Finance Director PACE on budgeting, forecasting, and internal/external reporting needs.
  • Track and report key financial metrics and trends to support decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Assist with CMS, HPMS, and state-mandated financial and statistical reports.
  • Support the claims process by reviewing and validating claims reports in coordination with the TPA, flagging anomalies for escalation.
  • Review vendor invoices and payment schedules, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with budget.
  • Monitor grant and funding allocations (if applicable), ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Assist with audits by preparing supporting schedules and coordinating documentation requests.
  • Maintain internal controls and support implementation of updated fiscal procedures under direction of the Finance Director PACE.
  • Provide training to center staff on financial procedures as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of staff mileage, timecards, and expense reports.
  • May oversee finance support staff or interns as assigned.
