About The Position

The Office of Undergraduate Studies believes that every student should have an educational experience that prepares them to thrive academically and professionally. Our office delivers on this promise by offering innovative academic programs, serving as a hub for high-impact practices, providing undergraduate research opportunities, and developing campus-wide academic policies. UCF's Office of Undergraduate Studies seeks a Manager, Academic Program to join their team. This position supports the coordination and management of High-Impact Practice (HIP) initiatives within Undergraduate Studies, with a significant focus on overseeing the full operations of HIP Course Designations from development through implementation, and general maintenance. It facilitates processes across faculty, departments, and review structures while ensuring effective communication, tracking, and reporting. The role also contributes to university-wide training, event planning, and program assessment efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
  • All applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, and the university cannot accommodate H‑1B transfers or employment-based visa processing for individuals currently sponsored by another employer.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the coordination and execution of HIP Course Designation operations.
  • Manages committee processes, meetings, and events, ensuring efficiency and alignment with program goals.
  • Coordinates communications with colleges, departments, faculty submitters, and faculty review committees.
  • Manages the review process and re-review of courses.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation in collaboration with university stakeholders.
  • Supports continuous improvement of systems and workflow.
  • Serves as the primary technical manager for the TeamDynamix portal.
  • Manages the full life cycle of submissions from intake through completion, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Troubleshoots workflow and user issues.
  • Coordinates and supports training and professional development opportunities related to HIPs for faculty and staff.
  • Manages new HIP Course Designation webcourse training tool.
  • Manages ongoing staff training initiatives, including the ASC webcourse, resource materials hub, workshops, panels, and other related opportunities.
  • Continuously evaluates and implements new approaches to training and engagement.
  • Coordinates and manages logistics for HIP-related events, including the HIP Course Designation Showcase.
  • Supports outreach efforts to promote participation, engagement, and visibility of HIP initiatives both internally and externally (e.g., HIP Collaborative meetings).
  • Maintains and strengthens websites and print materials.
  • Utilizes existing assessment platforms and data systems to evaluate program effectiveness, generate reports, and inform strategy.
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of HIP dashboards and supports efforts to promote HIP participation and outcomes across the university.
  • Directly supervises one or more student assistants, providing guidance, task management, and professional development support.
  • Contributes to broader supervision and coordination of HIP student assistants as needed.
  • Provides additional support to Undergraduate Studies and university-wide HIP initiatives as needed, contributing to the overall success and advancement of HIPs.
