About The Position

The Assessment Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the center’s daily operations and ensuring the effective implementation of assessment processes. This role involves leading and supporting youth advocates through training, mentorship, and ongoing professional development. The manager will coordinate programs, ensure timely assessments, and guide the development and follow-up of action plans with youth and their families. The position will help to ensure youth advocates are well-equipped with the skills and support needed to thrive in their roles.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years’ work experience in youth advocacy, program management
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Public Administration, or a closely related field
  • PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all day-to-day activities to ensure assessments and related activities are conducted effectively.
  • Supervises the planning, execution, and review of assessment activities.
  • Designs and delivers training programs for youth advocates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provides Mentorship and Support to Youth Advocates.
  • Develops, coordinates, and oversees specific programs within the assessment center, including the food pantry and the clothing closet.
  • Works with youth advocates to ensure timely creation of action plans and ensure follow-up actions are performed.
  • Tracks the progress of youth advocates and program outcomes.
  • Supports the continuous professional development of youth advocates through feedback, training, and career growth opportunities.
  • Organizes workshops, seminars, and other educational activities that promote growth and development.
  • Fosters a collaborative work environment by regularly communicating with team members, stakeholders, and families.
  • Ensures all assessment processes and activities comply with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Maintains accurate records and prepare reports on the center's activities, assessments, and youth progress.
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed.
