About The Position

Copart, Inc. is seeking candidates for its annual Leadership Development Program, a Management Trainee role designed to build operational knowledge and leadership capability. This program offers a structured, hands-on learning environment with classroom instruction and on-the-job training to prepare participants for future field-based leadership roles. The program begins on July 13, 2026, with initial training at company headquarters in Dallas, Texas, followed by a 12-month field-based development experience across the United States. Participants will gain experience in multiple operational functions, with the objective of preparing for placement into a field management role upon successful completion. The program includes ongoing mentorship, performance feedback, and mid-program evaluations. Final role placement depends on business needs, individual performance, and program completion.

Requirements

  • Relocation required within the continental U.S. upon completion of training.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, year-round.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-demand environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze customer feedback and contribute to process improvements.
  • Travel as needed to support operations, including response efforts during weather-related or other high-demand events.
  • Assist local teams in maintaining operational continuity during peak periods.
  • Support vehicle intake, processing, and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, movement, and status using company systems.
  • Ensure compliance with established quality, accuracy, and documentation standards.
  • Assist with title processing and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable requirements.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for operational activities.
  • Support audits and compliance-related processes as needed.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Conduct and document required equipment inspections.
  • Operate company equipment (e.g., forklifts, loaders) in accordance with training and safety standards.
  • Support implementation of operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow established procedures and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Assist with daily facility operations to support efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet operational goals.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
