About The Position

The Management Trainee - Leadership Development Program is an annual initiative designed to cultivate future leaders by providing a structured, hands-on learning environment. This program aims to build operational knowledge and leadership capabilities across key business areas. Participants will engage in a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training to develop skills essential for future field-based leadership roles. The program commences on July 13, 2026, with a two-week training session at the company's headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Following this initial training, participants will undertake a 12-month field-based development experience at one of Copart's operational locations across the United States. A one-week return to Dallas for additional training and evaluation is scheduled midway through the program. The overarching objective is to prepare participants for placement into a field management role upon successful completion, gaining experience across multiple operational functions throughout the program.

Requirements

  • Relocation required within the continental U.S. upon completion of training
  • Demonstrated ability to learn in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, year-round
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-demand environment
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Analyze customer feedback and contribute to process improvements
  • Travel as needed to support operations, including response efforts during weather-related or other high-demand events
  • Assist local teams in maintaining operational continuity during peak periods
  • Support vehicle intake, processing, and documentation in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, movement, and status using company systems
  • Ensure compliance with established quality, accuracy, and documentation standards
  • Assist with title processing and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable requirements
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for operational activities
  • Support audits and compliance-related processes as needed
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Conduct and document required equipment inspections
  • Operate company equipment (e.g., forklifts, loaders) in accordance with training and safety standards
  • Support implementation of operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow established procedures and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Assist with daily facility operations to support efficiency and safety
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet operational goals
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
