The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level position that prepares participants for a Store Management role in 18–24 months. After successfully completing the initial eight weeks of training, participants may progress into an Assistant Store Manager position. Participants work with store management to oversee a million-dollar business and contribute leadership and insight to the store’s development and strategy. They learn store operations, customer needs, and internal strategy while selling high-quality products to large commercial users, including painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers. The program provides training in customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and operations, along with structured development discussions and opportunities to build professional relationships in the community. The role involves customer contact, potentially including minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuable items. The company states that it reviews criminal history to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.
