The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level position designed to prepare participants for a Store Management role in 18–24 months. After successfully completing the initial eight-week training, participants may progress into an Assistant Store Manager position. The typical schedule is 44 hours per week and may include evenings and/or weekends. During the program, participants collaborate with store management to oversee a million-dollar business and contribute leadership and insight to the store’s development and strategy. They learn store operations, customer relationships, and internal strategy, while growing market share by selling products to commercial users such as painting contractors, purchasing agents, and manufacturers. Training covers customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and operations. The program includes formal discussions about objectives and development, leadership development, and opportunities to build relationships in the community. The role involves contact with customers, including potentially minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other valuable items. Sherwin-Williams has determined that a criminal-history review is necessary to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.
