About The Position

We are currently seeking new or recent graduates to join our Management Development Program. This is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing. Successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada to complete their training, with relocation assistance provided. Opportunities are available across the country. As a Management Trainee, you will progress through a 4-phased program to learn every aspect of how our business operates – from shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management to employee development and more. You will get to know our customers by growing a sales territory of your own and providing world-class customer service. You will receive guidance, mentoring, and support from current managers and teammates within a region and across Canada to build a successful management career at EMCO.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma (all disciplines considered)
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Excellent leadership, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Strong interest in sales
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Learn every aspect of how EMCO's business operates, including shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management, and employee development.
  • Develop product knowledge and gain hands-on experience with the logistical side of the business.
  • Involve yourself in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, and credit management.
  • Manage large-scale projects and problem-solve customer issues.
  • Build relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Read blueprint drawings to create quotes for customer projects.
  • Focus on business development, finding new business opportunities, selling products, and negotiating contracts.
  • Create level 5 customer partnerships.
  • Provide a strategic vision, lead a team, mentor others, and run the business.
  • Develop leadership competencies, support the team through coaching and mentoring, and set vision and strategy.
  • Grow a sales territory and provide world-class customer service.
  • Receive guidance, mentoring, and support from current managers and teammates.
