About The Position

Responsible professional analytical, technical and administrative work in one or more areas of municipal government administration. In this position with the Finance Department, buyers are responsible for acquiring goods and services needed to support organizational operations while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procurement procedures.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Good moral character is required of all applicants.
• Applicants who are licensed to drive should have a current license on their person for purposes of identification during all phases of an examination. In lieu of such license, the Department of City Civil Service may require that applicants have some form of picture identification.
