About The Position

The Management Analyst I provides analytical and administrative support to improve organizational processes, operations, and performance within a federal or professional services environment. This role focuses on gathering data, conducting basic analysis, and assisting in the development of reports, recommendations, and process improvements. Working under general supervision, the Management Analyst I applies structured methodologies and standard practices to support decision-making, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with organizational and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Basic data analysis skills (Excel functions, pivot tables, reporting)
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to organize and synthesize information
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to follow structured processes and methodologies
  • Collaboration and stakeholder support skills
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a background investigation or clearance (if required)
  • Ability to work in a structured, compliance-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
  • Experience with documentation and process mapping tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and analyze data to support organizational studies, program evaluations, and operational improvements
  • Assist in developing reports, briefings, and documentation for management review
  • Conduct research on policies, procedures, and best practices to inform recommendations
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions
  • Maintain program data, records, and tracking systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workflows
  • Monitor program progress and provide status updates to leadership
  • Support internal audits, compliance activities, and quality assurance reviews
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and support project execution
  • Participate in meetings, capture notes, and track action items
