About The Position

The Management Analyst 2 will act as the HCQC lead on State and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) Contracts, MOU’s, Service agreements and related items (fiscal documents). This includes tracking and monitoring fiscal documents using spreadsheets, drafting and submitting documents as requested by HCQC leadership, ensuring fiscal documents are renewed and approved by the Board of Examiners prior to expiration, entering contracts into the State’s Contract Entry and Tracking System (CETS), and obtaining and maintaining Nevada Certified Contract Manager certification within six months of hire, if not already certified. The role also involves acting as the CMS federal Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) lead, which includes creating and submitting required CMS reports, managing CMP contracts, amendments, invoices, reimbursements, and applications, and providing technical support and assistance to applicants and approved CMP entities. Additionally, the position requires creating, analyzing, and submitting reports required by HCQC leadership, statutes, and regulations; collaborating with IT to develop reporting and tracking systems; drafting and processing regulations; assisting with policy development; reviewing and monitoring legislation impacting the program; conducting annual fee analyses; and coordinating public information requests and website postings with the HCQC Education and Information Officer. The role will support diverse and complex programs, including Environmental Health and Licensing. Management Analysts conduct studies, research, and examination of management and administrative areas such as agency operations, forms, policies and procedures, workflow, legislative analysis, management research, and statistical and informational analysis.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of applicable experience as described in the job duties
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education

Responsibilities

  • Review, monitor, and research bills submitted to the Legislature impacting the work unit, inform management of possible implications, and recommend an appropriate course of action
