The work involves coordinating purchases, guiding staff, and ensuring that all steps follow Commonwealth policy. As a Purchasing Agent, you will perform the following duties: Procurement Processes: Performs various procurement processes including purchasing card purchases, contract purchases, invitation for bids, requests for quote, and others. Policy Guidance: Provide direction to program areas on procurement rules, documentation needs, and sourcing strategies Vendor Coordination: Works with vendors, receivers and project managers to ensure accurate and timely receipt of goods and services. Small Business Support: Assist small businesses in navigating registration steps and identifying procurement opportunities.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as a Management Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of experience in technical management analysis work, and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • This particular position also requires a valid driver's license.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
