About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis. You will monitor key financial metrics such as labour costs, margins, contractor profitability, and client performance. The position also involves assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, as well as reconciling various financial data points including payroll, timesheets, invoicing, and contractor costs. A significant part of the role includes analysing award rates, overtime, allowances, and labour utilisation trends, and supporting end-of-month and end-of-year financial processes. You will ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and labour hire regulations. Collaboration with operations and recruitment teams to enhance financial performance is crucial. Additionally, you will prepare client profitability reports and KPI dashboards, assist with audit preparation and statutory reporting, and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within finance and payroll systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in management accounting
  • Experience in labour hire, recruitment, staffing, construction, healthcare, logistics, or workforce-heavy industries
  • Strong understanding of payroll costing and workforce-related financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with accounting and payroll systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail

Nice To Haves
