About The Position

Echo Global Logistics is a technology-enabled third-party logistics provider that connects businesses needing to ship products with carriers that transport goods across major transportation modes. The Managed Trans Operations Manager plans and manages logistics, transportation, and customer service for Enterprise clients, develops client relationships, leads continuous improvement, and monitors account and team performance. The role also trains, coaches, mentors, and manages a team of logistics specialists, and identifies and develops talent. The position operates in an office environment with a hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience.
3–5 years of experience in the logistics industry.
Experience leading a team of logistics specialists.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to become a trusted advisor to clients.
Proven track record of continuous process improvement for clients.

Responsibilities

Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation, and customer service for Enterprise clients.
Build client relationships through regular contact and advocacy, offering advice, solutions, and proactive issue management.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives with clients.
Monitor, improve, and report on key performance indicators, including account financial performance and team productivity.
Conduct market research and proactively communicate industry trends that may affect clients’ businesses.
Identify and develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Train, develop, and manage the team daily to provide operational excellence.
Coach team members to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
