About The Position

Rezolut is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist in Augusta, Georgia. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the technologist performs diagnostic scanning procedures to capture consistent, high-quality breast images. This is an onsite, as-needed position.

Requirements

ARRT(M) Certification.
CPR/BLS Certification.
Skilled-level knowledge of mammography scanning technology.
Competency in instructing fellow Mammography Technologists in scanning.
Ability to communicate with radiologists and other healthcare providers about images and patient care.
Ability to identify abnormalities while performing mammography scans.
Initiative to obtain additional scans, views, or technical factors to provide the radiologist with information for an accurate diagnosis.
Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Use specialized equipment to capture breast images and ensure accuracy.
Explain mammogram procedures to patients and address their concerns and anxieties.
Position patients comfortably and accurately for exams.
Monitor patients in the department and assist the radiologist or other physicians with needed medical attention.
Review and evaluate the quality of breast images.
Perform clerical work related to obtaining previous reports, X-ray films, and other materials.
Follow radiation protection measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to mammogram procedures.
Work with radiologists, fellow technologists, and office staff as needed.
