About The Position

The Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic patient examinations using mammography equipment according to established procedures. The technologist demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of mammographic technology; maintains an efficient, organized work area; and follows safety and confidentiality guidelines. The role requires high professional standards of conduct and patient care while exemplifying and promoting Augusta Health values. The position is listed as 36 hours per week.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
Registration in radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with documented continuing education to maintain registration or certification.
Willingness to complete mammography training upon hire.
Pass the Mammography registry exam within 12 months of hire.
CPR certification, or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
One or more years of experience in Radiology.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed toward objectives without supervision.
Consistent and punctual attendance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact face-to-face with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
Ability to use a personal computer and various software packages.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher.
Completion of an accredited Mammography program.
Prior Mammography experience.
