About The Position

The Mammographer performs specialized radiographic imaging procedures that assist radiologists in diagnosing and treating medical disorders. Under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the role includes direct patient care and participation in facility quality and safety initiatives, while complying with local and federal regulations. The Mammographer assists with complex and sensitive patient and family issues and ensures safe, high-quality care for patients of all ages. This is a per-diem, as-needed position at St Mary's of Nazareth in Chicago, with a variable shift. The role requires the ability to travel to all imaging facilities regularly and without notice.

Requirements

Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
Current ARRT certification.
Advanced certification in Mammography.
Current experience as a radiology technologist.
Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
Experience with Hospital Information Services (HIS) and/or Radiology Information System (RIS).
Ability to travel to all imaging facilities regularly and without notice.
