About The Position

The Mammography Tech performs radiologic breast imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The role supports physicians in evaluating pathological entities and contributes to early detection and treatment. The technician helps ensure patient safety and accurate diagnostic imaging, supporting patient care and outcomes.

The position is based at Genesys in Grand Blanc, where the department describes a supportive team environment and a community with access to nearby Flint, Detroit, and Northern Michigan. The schedule is contingent, days, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M), or registry eligibility.
• If registry eligible, obtain the Mammography registry within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in mammography or breast imaging.
• Familiarity with MQSA and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic breast imaging procedures as ordered by a physician.
• Use independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and positioning.
• Follow department protocols and safety practices.
• Maintain compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and other regulatory requirements.
• Complete required continuing medical education hours to stay current with industry standards.
