The Mammography Technologist will be responsible for producing quality images and providing patient care in the UAMS Breast Center. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Graduation from an approved Radiology program
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography
Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Operates specialized radiologic equipment to perform high-quality breast imaging exams, including mammography and breast ultrasounds.
Communicates mammography examination procedures to patients and enlists patient cooperation in positioning for radiological examination.
Assists with records management and scheduling appointments.
Obtains patient history and enters it into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Schedules exams and reviews previous records to determine that the correct studies are performed.
Assists with breast procedures, including ultrasound biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, MRI-guided biopsy, and needle localizations.
Drives the mobile mammography van to events; sets up equipment and van.
Ensures exams are completed, and images are in Picture Archiving and Communication (PACS) systems.
Competes with other duties as requested.
