About The Position

This position at the Breast Center involves a dual role where technicians rotate between performing scans at the center and operating the Mobile Mammography Van. The role requires performing mammographic exams and other related diagnostic procedures requiring advanced skills. The technician will also organize effective orientation and training of clinical staff and facilitate professional relationships with physician user groups, customers, and patients.

Requirements

Associate's or equivalent education/experience
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists
RHM-Radiology Mammography
Excellent knowledge of mammography, sterile technique, and basic patient monitoring.
Understands supplies used for core biopsy , localizations, and other related procedures.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standard ization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
