About The Position

This role involves performing mammographic exams and other related diagnostic procedures requiring advanced skills. Technicians at this site have a unique responsibility, rotating between performing scans at the center and operating the Mobile Mammography Van. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus based on Sutter Health policy and availability to external applicants. The role also involves organizing effective orientation and training of clinical staff and facilitating effective professional relationships with physician user groups, other customers, and patients.

Requirements

Associate's or equivalent education/experience
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists
RHM-Radiology Mammography
Excellent knowledge of mammography, sterile technique, and basic patient monitoring.
Understands supplies used for core biopsy, localizations, and other related procedures.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
