About The Position
This position is responsible for performing medically prescribed diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures, is responsible for patient safety protocols and functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram. Works under general direction.
Requirements
- Technical Diploma from accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- New York State license
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Advanced Certification in Mammography
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Responsibilities
- Performing medically prescribed diagnostic mammographic and bone density procedures
- Ensuring patient safety protocols are followed
- Serving as the first line interface with patients for mammogram completion
